GREEN DRINKS L.A.

Greening Los Angeles, one drink at a time

Hey Folks,

As you may have noticed, Green Drinks L.A. has been offline for quite a while. In talking with Barent Roth, organizer of L.A. Green Drinks on the west side, I decided to lay low as he ramped up the LAGreenDrinks.com site. Definitely didn't want to steal his thunder.

But I recently came back to see that a few people happened to find our site by chance and I realized that enough people want to connect in this community of ours that only good could come out of keeping us alive, and working to make us grow.

So, I hope everyone here is interested in helping with our "comeback". Basically this site is for all of us in L.A. and beyond who are committed to our planet enough to want to do something about it. I just happen to be a guy who created a website in the hopes of mobilizing us toward a greater end.

I think that our potential is huge – Los Angeles is about as progressive as it gets and we green drinkers are at the forefront of the movement. So let's start communicating, growing, affecting change, and getting loaded on green drinks while doing it.

What's in a green drink anyway?

Shawn

Hey Pleasant,

Thanks for joining! There's a Green Drinks this Thursday in Culver City. Typically it's at Living Green, but last month it moved to the Culver Hotel. Not sure where it will be this Thursday. I'll give Green Drinks a buzz and let you know...

So it is at the Culver Hotel this Thursday and seems like it will be there for the time being. So... see you there!

Thanks for the update...I may need to remain eco and stay on the East side tonight, but I hope to join the group soon (I have many GREEN friends I'd like to bring)!

Cool. Yes, oddly enough, it's greener to NOT go to Green Drinks, unless you walk or bike. But then you're creating extra carbon dioxide from the extra breathing...

But seriously, Barent is doing a great job with it and it seems to be growing all the time. There's also one in Silver Lake next week that you may want to attend.

I found this site by accident (well I was looking for a green biz association type of thing) but it had very old info. Glad to see it's more up to date. I'm in Echo Park/downtown and would love to attend East Side gatherings.

Hey Russ,

Thanks for joining. Although I don't blog as much as I'd like, I do check in daily to make sure I can help direct fellow greenies to green drinks locations.

Silver Lake's GD is going on as I type this! Here's the 411:

I understand there is a downtown group starting as well? What is the schedule for that - for all of the meetings really. I plan on being at the next Silverlake one.
