About Me:
I'm a transplanted New Yorker who was bitten by the green bug early in 2007 after watching a bin full of magazines get tossed at the publishing company for which I write.

I keep the blog http://sponsible.org where I write about the need to keep humans from eliminating themselves from the equation (it's not quite as glum as it sounds).

I'm presently working on a few other sustainable ventures and am always interested in contributing my writing and design talents to the development of great ideas. This site is an example of that. Inspired by Green Drinks in Culver City on 1/7/08 I decided to put this meeting spot on the web together. Enjoy!

Good on Florida!

Wow- this is too cool... literally. The state of Florida is buying its largest sugar processor in an attempt to save the dwindling Everglades. It's an unprecedented move in this country on behalf of nature. Here's the NY Times article on this amazing, amazing move:

Santa Monica/Venice in the NY Times

Check out this article in yesterday's NY Times in which a cool LEED platinum home in Venice is profiled. Good on Tom Schey, a homebuilder in Santa Monica, and his business partner, Kelly Meyer, along with architect Melinda Gray for getting this house built!

We're BAAAAACK!!!

Hey Folks,

As you may have noticed, Green Drinks L.A. has been offline for quite a while. In talking with Barent Roth, organizer of L.A. Green Drinks on the west side, I decided to lay low as he ramped up the LAGreenDrinks.com site. Definitely didn't want to steal his thunder.

I can't wait until these little numbers hit the market here in the U.S. at the end of this year. I'm pretty sure I'll be trading in my Civic Hybrid when it's lease is up late '09 for one of these. They're just too cool!
